The US House GOP has designated the week of July 14 as "Crypto Week," marking a pivotal moment for digital asset regulation. Three landmark bills—the CLARITY Act, the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act, and the Senate’s GENIUS Act—will be brought to a vote. This legislative push follows the passage of President Donald Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ and aims to establish a clear regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, alongside Financial Services Committee Chair French Hill and Agriculture Committee Chair GT Thompson, framed the move as a historic opportunity to solidify the US as a global leader in crypto innovation. "House Republicans are taking decisive steps to deliver the full scope of President Trump’s digital assets agenda," Johnson declared. The package seeks to address regulatory ambiguity, safeguard financial privacy, and foster technological advancement.

The mid-July review could redefine the trajectory of digital assets, with implications for market stability and institutional adoption. The CLARITY Act, in particular, is poised to delineate jurisdictional boundaries between the SEC and CFTC, while the Anti-CBDC bill reflects growing concerns over centralized surveillance. The GENIUS Act’s focus on blockchain infrastructure underscores a broader commitment to maintaining US competitiveness.
